Cancer Study Information
STGD! is asking for your cooperation in a study of
cancer in ex-greyhound racing dogs. If any of
your dogs have suffered from cancer of any type, would
you be willing to share this important information
with us? What would help would be information
as to symptoms, treatments, track they raced on, any
medication administered, age of dog, and any other
information you fee would be helpful to other greyhound
families.
We know this is difficult, but the results could be extremely
beneficial. Please include your name, address, and phone
number so that we can contact you if we have any questions. Thank
you in advance for your time and commitment in this effort.
You Are Not Alone
Finding out your pet has cancer is devastating. You don't have
to be in the dark and unsure about what your options are. Someone
else has been there and understands that your pet is a member
of your family. We may not have an official name for our support
group yet, but someone who cares is there for you.
Call day or night EST:
Andrea Spencer, 508-285-2525 or
Tammy Pipa, 413-229-2102
We hope to be working with a national organization to further
study this tragedy. It's clear that cancer befalls many dogs.
Our study, however, will focus on greyhounds. We remind
you to please send us information if you have suffered this tragedy
with any of your greyhound dogs. We cannot ignore the facts. Your
cooperation will be very much appreciated. It will help other
greyhounds and their families.
