"The greyhound racing industry, in almost every situation, has only one concern: the monetary profits that these dogs will bring to them. It has been shown that many of these dogs are fed what is known as "4D" meat. This is meat from dead, diseased, dying, or downed animals". "Racing Greyhound owners will never talk about the track accidents: spills, falls, high speed collisions into fences, entanglement in the metal frame holding the lure, and electrocutions that occur on tracks. They also fail to discuss the fact that, in many instances, these poor dogs are destroyed after an injury, because it is cheaper than treating the dog(s). Too large a number of dogs experience seizures and trauma from head injuries".
